Who we are
InsTecHub (instechub.com) is an AI content studio operated by InsTecHub Technologies ("InsTecHub", "we", "us"). We are the data controller (data fiduciary) for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@instechub.com.
Information we collect
- Account data: your name, email address and profile picture, received from Google when you choose to sign in with Google.
- User content: topics, text, documents, PDFs, images, links and YouTube URLs you submit to create presentations, documents, ebooks, quizzes or other outputs.
- Generated content: decks, documents, ebooks, summaries, quizzes, translations, images and other files created for you by the service.
- Usage and technical data: plan, credits, feature usage, error logs, IP address, device and browser type, timestamps and security records needed to operate and protect the service.
- Payment data: when paid plans are available, payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, InsTecHub requests only the basic profile scopes: your name, email address and profile picture. We use them to create and identify your account, to show your name and picture in the app, and to contact you about your account or a support request.
- We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service data.
- We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or with your consent.
- No human reads your Google user data unless you give consent, it is needed for security or abuse investigation, or the law requires it.
InsTecHub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke InsTecHub's access at any time in your Google Account permissions page.
How we use information
- To create, store, display, export and share the content you request.
- To authenticate you with Google sign-in and keep accounts secure.
- To provide translation, writing, document generation and other AI-powered features.
- To prevent abuse and fraud, debug errors, enforce usage limits and improve reliability.
- To respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.
AI and service providers
To process your requests, we send the content you submit to AI model providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, and to translation, storage, hosting and infrastructure providers such as Google Cloud and Supabase. These providers act as our processors and may process data only to deliver the requested service or maintain the platform.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content to train our own or third-party AI models, and we only use providers whose terms do not allow them to train on API-submitted content.
How we share information
We share personal data only with the service providers described above, with professional advisers where needed, with authorities when required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition (with notice to you). We do not share personal data for advertising.
Where data is stored and international transfers
InsTecHub stores application data and files with Google Cloud and Supabase. Our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in India and the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and provider security commitments.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies and similar storage, for sign-in sessions, security and remembering your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in may then stop working.
How long we keep data
- Account and content: kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account.
- After deletion: content moved to trash is removed within 30 days, and deleted data is erased from backups within 90 days.
- Logs and security records: kept for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is needed for security or legal reasons.
Your choices, rights and data deletion
You can access and delete your content from within the app. You can also request access, correction, export or deletion of your account and all associated data, or withdraw consent, by emailing contact@instechub.com from your registered email address. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. These include the rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under US state laws.
Legal bases (EU and UK users)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), with your consent (for example Google sign-in), for our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and service improvement) and to comply with legal obligations. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), provider security features and limited internal access to protect account and content data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Children
InsTecHub is not intended for children under 18, or the minimum age required in your country, without parent, guardian or school consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the new version on this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
